"Yesterday we took delivery of a very special valinch in the Laddie Shop. Number 60 in our Laddie Crew series (we skipped 58 and 59) as this one needed to be 60 as it celebrates one of our founders big birthdays! Happy belated birthday Mr C!"

 

With these words the new crew Valinch was announced on Tuesday of this week on the Bruichladdich page. Reason enough for us to drop by there on Fridays and try this new bottling.

 

 

Colour: light gold

 

Nose: Salted caramel, blueberries, lemon peel and ... a delicate note of smoke. Amazingly, we couldn't make out a note of vanilla.

 

Taste: Caramel followed by salt. A real whisky cheesecake with delicate pepper notes. Round and mature..

 

Finish: elegant, medium

 

This is real elegance in Bourbon

Mit diesen Worten wurde das neue Crew Valinch am Dienstag dieser Woche auf der Bruichladdich Seite angekündigt. Grund genug für uns, freitags dort vorbeizufahren und diese neue Abfüllung zu probieren.

 

 

Farbe: helles Gold

 

Nase: Salzkaramell, Blaubeeren, Zitronenzeste und ... eine zarte Rauchnote. Eine Vanillenote suchten wir hier vergeblich. 

 

Geschmack: Karamell, gefolgt von Salz. Ein wahrer Whisky-Cheesecake mit zarten Pfeffernoten. Rund und gereift.

 

 

Finish: Elegant und mittellang.

 

Unser Fazit: das ist Eleganz in Bourbon
